MASSIVE SELECTOR is a San Francisco based collective of artists, DJs, free thinkers, and corporate refugees who have a shared passion for art, music and underground culture. MASSIVE SELECTOR is dedicated to infusing an urban aesthetic into its design, event production, marketing, promotion, and media projects. Through each project, we aim to motivate, build and cultivate a Left Coast community. We are selectors for the masses.
PROJECTS
MASSIVE SELECTOR produces events, live shows, and benefits, as well as provides strategic marketing and promotion services online and on the street. Services include web/interactive development, implement marketing programs, graphic design, and talent sourcing. Recent events include production of the California leg of an album release tour for King Britt (K7 Records), Wonder-Full: A Tribute to the Wonder of Stevie with DJ Spinna & Bobbito, a concert show featuring BBC Worldwide Live with Gilles Peterson, Dwele, and The Rebirth, Soled Out: A Commemoration to Sneaker Culture, Sneakerpimps: The Worlds Largest Sneaker Tour, San Francisco Int’l Asian American Film Festival’s Directions in Sound, J-Dilla Tribute featuring Stones Throw All-Stars Peanut Butter Wolf, Egon + Madlib, DJ Spinna vs. ?uestlove, among many other great events.
POLENG LOUNGE
Our projects: some for fun, some for profit… all for the love. Over the years we’ve made our mark in the nitelife arena, but have since ventured off into new frontiers. In 2003, we opened POLENG LOUNGE, a tea lounge, restaurant, and bar located in the heart of San Francisco’s upper panhandle or NOPA district. In just 7 short months POLENG LOUNGE became the face of modern filipino cusine and was officaily one of the top 10 restaraunts in the Bay according to the chronicle.
THE SUMMIT
Our latest endeavor… THE SUMMIT cafe, bar, and gallery is the ultimate gathering space for free thinkers, artisans, and entrepreneurs, deep in the heart of San Francisco’s vibrant mission district. THE SUMMIT will also function as an art space called peek gallery, featuring the connoisseur of the everyday object and focus on the applied arts of industrial, graphic, and textile design.
